Find your exact age and a few fun facts about your birthday.
How age is counted
In the US, the UK and most of the world, age is counted in completed years: you are zero when you're born and gain a year on each birthday. That's the number shown in big type above. The months and days tell you how far you are into your current year.
The totals (months, weeks, days and hours lived) are counted from your birth date to the date you choose. Leap years are included, so a 30-year-old has lived roughly 10,957 days rather than 10,950.
FAQ
- How is age calculated?
- Your age is the number of full years since your date of birth. On your birthday you turn one year older. The calculator also shows the extra months and days since your last birthday.
- What if I was born on February 29?
- In non-leap years most people celebrate on February 28 or March 1. This calculator treats March 1 as your birthday in non-leap years for the countdown, and counts full years normally.
- Does it use my time zone?
- Yes. 'Today' is based on your device's date, so the result matches the calendar where you are.
